Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Diet IQ collects, uses, stores and discloses your personal information, including health information, in connection with the Eat for Good program and the Diet IQ website. We handle your information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Who we are

Eat for Good is delivered by Diet IQ, a partnership between J.G Bushell and G.E Cottis (ABN 52 969 789 326), based in New South Wales. You can contact us about privacy at hello@dietiq.com.au.

What we collect

• Contact details such as your name, email and phone number
• Information you give us in application and screening forms, including your goals, eating history and relevant health information
• Health and sensitive information you choose to share so we can deliver safe, appropriate dietetic care
• Booking details when you schedule a call
• Payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details
• Website usage data through analytics, such as pages visited and general location, usually in a form that does not identify you personally

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you complete a form, book a call, make a payment or email us. We collect website usage data automatically through analytics tools when you visit the site.

Why we use it

• To assess your application and whether the program is a suitable fit for you
• To deliver the program, including personalised menus, check ins and communication
• To process payments and manage your enrolment
• To respond to your enquiries
• To understand how the website is used and improve it

Health information

Health information is sensitive information under the Australian Privacy Principles. We collect it only with your consent and only where it is reasonably necessary to provide the program safely. We use it to inform your care and, where appropriate, may recommend you speak with your GP. We do not use your health information for marketing.

Who we share it with

We use trusted third party providers to run the program, and we share only what is needed for each to do its job:

• Form and screening tools (Jotform)
• Payment processing (Newie and Stripe)
• Booking and video calls (Cal.com and Google)
• Program delivery (Everfit)
• Website analytics (Google Analytics)

Each provider has its own privacy practices. Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers, but by using the program you acknowledge your information may be handled overseas. We do not sell your personal information.

How we store and protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including using reputable platforms and limiting who can access your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@dietiq.com.au and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses analytics cookies to understand traffic and usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first at hello@dietiq.com.au and we will work to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
